At the beginning of 2025, new Polish Classification of Activities (PKD) codes will be introduced. This reform aims both to simplify the identification of economic activities and to improve compliance with international classification standards. Key changes include, inter alia the introduction of new codes for activities in rapidly growing areas such as digital technologies, the green economy and renewable energy.
For entrepreneurs using PKD 2007 codes, the new PKD classification means the need to check whether their current codes will also be valid after 2025. In some cases, you will need to adapt the codes to new categories or register additional ones if your business has expanded into new areas.

- 47.92.Z Specialised retail brokerage
- 52.31.Z Brokerage in the transport of goods
- 52.32.Z Passenger transport agency
- 55.40.Z Accommodation agency
- 56.40.Z Intermediation in the field of catering services
- 68.31.Z Real estate brokerage
- 74.91.Z Activities of patent attorneys and marketing activities
- 77.51.Z Brokerage in the rental and lease of passenger cars, motorhomes and caravans
- 77.52.Z Intermediation in the rental and lease of other tangible and non-financial intangible assets
- 82.40.Z Intermediation in the field of activities supporting business activity not elsewhere classified
- 85.61.Z Mediation in the field of conducting courses and tutoring
- 86.97.Z Mediation related to medical, dental and other activities in the field of health care
- 87.91.Z Mediation in the field of social assistance with accommodation
- 95.40.Z Brokerage in the repair and maintenance of computers, personal and household goods and motor vehicles, including motorcycles
From 1 January 2025, new entrepreneurs will be obliged to use only the new PKD codes.
On the other hand, entrepreneurs who have started their business activity can use PKD 2007 codes for two years of the transitional period until 1 January 2027.
After the transitional period, it is planned to introduce automatic reclassification of PKD codes in The Central Register and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG) and other official registers.
